Moss hopes to practice this week

Redskins wide receiver Santana Moss sat out on Monday due to a strained left groin, but he hopes to practice later in the week and be ready for Sunday's game against the Lions. "It's a long season still, and I'm not trying to sit here and have something pretty much continue to bother me through the long year," he tells the Washington Post. "Thus far it's feeling a lot better, so who knows what will happen later in the week." Moss suffered the injury in Week 3. James Thrash would likely start if Moss were out. Moss has a history of hamstring and groin ailments, and they never seem to clear up quickly. Fantasy owners should be making other plans for this Sunday and consider it gravy if Santana is an option.
