Grant limited

Ryan Grant was limited in practice on Wednesday due to the concussion he suffered back in Week 8. "I took some reps today," Grant told the Green Bay Press Gazette. "I'm feeling pretty good. During the game, I knew something wasn't right. I was just dazed, but I feel good now." All indications are that Grant will be healthy enough to play on Sunday against the Vikings. Nevertheless, we'll keep fantasy owners updated on his status leading right up to kickoff.

Grant's party

Ryan Grant is expected to start on Sunday against the Chiefs. "I think it's safe to say Ryan Grant will be the starter when we go to Kansas City," head coach Mike McCarthy told Tuesday's Green Bay Press-Gazette. Grant gained 104 yards on 22 carries during Monday's win over the Broncos. Grant did a great job of filling in for injured starter DeShawn Wynn, who left the game with a shoulder injury.

Wynn needs further examination

The shoulder injury suffered by DeShawn Wynn on Monday requires further medical evaluation. "The doctors are going to look at it when we get back to Green Bay," Wynn told the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. X-rays did not reveal the extent of the damage. Ryan Grant took the bulk of the carries after Wynn left the game. Wynn owners should give serious consideration to adding Grant to their rosters just to be on the safe side.

Jennings has new injury

Greg Jennings added a new injury to his list of ailments on Wednesday. The Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel reports that he was limited to the walk-through portion of practice because of a shoulder injury. He's also missed time with a hamstring injury this season. Jennings suffered the injury during the Sunday night loss to the Bears. He believes he'll be ready to play in Week 6, but he won't try to practice until Friday.

Harris battling multiple injuries

Already battling back and elbow injuries, Al Harris missed some plays Sunday with a hand injury. "I don't feel good," said Harris, who indicated that he was enduring the most pain from his back, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "The elbow will always be an issue until I get some rest." He didn't sound confident about playing in the next game, but we'll have to see how his body responds to treatment during the week.

Favre breaks touchdown record

Packers quarterback Brett Favre is the new all-time touchdown pass leader in the NFL. Favre threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Greg Jennings with 4:56 left in the first quarter against the Vikings today to establish the new record. The scoring strike was number 421 of Favre's career, breaking Hall of Famer Dan Marino's record. Congrats to Favre for his great accomplishment and for retaining fantasy football relevance when many assumed he was washed up and only hanging around to set records.

Jackson out

Brandon Jackson will not play in Sunday's game against the Vikings due to a shin injury. He is among the players listed on the inactive list.Vernand Morency is healthy and will start against the Vikings. It remains to be seen whether Jackson or Morency will start in future weeks of both players are healthy.

Jennings sits as a precaution

Greg Jennings once again sat out of practice on Friday due to his strained hamstring. "The hamstring fatigued, at least that's what the doctors say," Jennings said, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. "And it did kind of fatigue on me on Wednesday. But I'm fine. I'm not hurting or anything like that. We're just being more cautious than anything." He's listed as probable, and all signs point to him playing on Sunday.

Rookie Jackson to sit out

Brandon Jackson will not play Sunday due to his shin injury, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. The Packers will get Vernand Morency back in the mix to help replace the rookie against the stout Vikings rush defense.

Morency ready to play

Vernand Morency practiced on Friday and is listed as probable on the injury report, according to the Green Bay Press-Gazette. He has not played this season due to a knee injury he suffered on the first day of training camp. Morency will most likely start over injured rookie Brandon Jackson on Sunday. The Packers have struggled to establish a ground game this season, so Morency could still reclaim his starting job. However, he has a tough matchup with the Vikings stellar run defense.

Farve back at work Thursday

Brett Favre (finger) had a full day of practice Thursday after missing some of the reps Wednesday. Given Favre's legendary history of playing with just about any physical ailment, there's little doubt he'll be starting at Minnesota Sunday.

Franks doesn't practice

Packers tight end Bubba Franks didn't practice on Wednesday because of an injured right knee, which he was icing during the session, according to the AP. The Vikings have not ceded a tight end touchdown in their last nine games, so Franks isn't a viable fantasy option even if he plays.

Favre has a cut

Packers quarterback Brett Favre was limited in practice Wednesday because of a cut finger on his throwing hand, which was suffered at home Monday night. "He went through the team [portions of practice]," coach Mike McCarthy told Packernews.com. "I just gave Aaron [Rodgers] some of his reps today. [Favre is] going to be fine. He's played with a lot worse." It seems pretty unlikely Favre's consecutive games streak will end because of a minor cut.

Jennings feeling good

Greg Jennings' troublesome hamstring suffered no setbacks during Sunday's win over the Chargers. The Green Bay Press-Gazette reports that Jennings could practice more this week than he did in the days leading up to the Week 3 game. Jennings caught the winning touchdown pass on Sunday and showed no signs of the injury bothering him. Nevertheless, we'll keep you updated on his status throughout the week.

Morency will not return for Week 3

Although Vernand Morency is listed as doubtful for Week 3, he will not play, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. He's still recovering from a knee injury, so Brandon Jackson and DeShawn Wynn will continue to carry the RB load.

Jones probable for Sunday's game

James Jones returned to practice Friday after leaving Thursday's session with a hamstring injury, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. Jones is listed as probable for Sunday's game, though his production could be capped by the likely return of Greg Jennings to the Packers WR corps.

Jennings likely to make season debut

As expected, Greg Jennings returned to practice on Friday. Although he was limited, the Packers list him as probable for Sunday's contest, according to the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. It appears that he will make his season debut this week, though it's unclear how much action he might see, as he returns from a strained hamstring

McCarthy mum on backfield plans

Packers head coach Mike McCarthy declined to say on Thursday whether Brandon Jackson or DeShawn Wynn will start on Sunday against the Chargers. "I understand it's a production business," McCarthy told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "DeShawn's done some very good things, but I'm very pleased with what Brandon Jackson has done." Jackson started the first two games. Wynn has been a popular pickup in fantasy leagues this week. However, he would have his work cut out for him even if he gets the start due to the fact that the Packers face the Chargers and Vikings run defenses in Weeks 3 and 4.

Jennings hopes to practice

Greg Jennings plans to practice on Friday and could play on Sunday against the Chargers if he gets through the session without incident. "He passed his test (Thursday)," head coach Mike McCarthy told the Green Bay Press-Gazette. "His whole deal is how he feels in the morning." Jennings did not practice on Thursday. The Packers need Jennings more than ever, as his backup, James Jones, left practice with a hamstring injury of his own on Thursday. We'll keep fantasy owners updated on both players leading up to kickoff on Sunday.
