Dorsey ruled out

DeDe Dorsey will sit out the Bengals' regular season finale against the Dolphins because of a high ankle sprain suffered on the first play of Cincy's win over the Browns in Week 16. Kenny Watson is expected to get the bulk of the playing time, with Rudi Johnson also potentially returning. Yeah, because Rudi has been so gritty and gutty all year.

Ghiaciuc dinged

Center Eric Ghiaciuc, who suffered a knee strain in Sunday night's loss to the Steelers, might be limited in practice Wednesday, Bengals coach Marvin Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer. The Bengals line has been banged up all season long, contributing in no small part to the running game's woes and Cincy's disappointing 4-8 record.

Brooks placed on IR

The Cincinnati Bengals defense has had a down year to say the least, and now the season of starting middle linebacker Ahmad Brooks is over. Brooks was placed on injured reserve on Wednesday, and will have surgery on his torn groin muscle soon. Brooks was hurt in the Week 2 loss to Cleveland, and has not played since. Maybe this is why the Bengals have had a defense that couldn't stop a three-year old on a sugar high. It could be the absence of Brooks, right?

Henry has altercation with parking attendant

Bengals' wide receiver Chris Henry just came off of his eight-game suspension for violating the NFL's personal conduct policy, so naturally it was time to cause a bit of trouble. Henry was allegedly involved in an altercation with a parking attendant over a disputed parking fee, on Tuesday night. Said parking attendant told police that Henry and another man parked their sport utility vehicle without paying. According to an incident report, the attendant said Henry argued loudly with him and said, "Don't you know who I am?" The attendant told police that Henry threw a $5 bill on the ground, but it was returned to him and police were called. At this time no charges have been filed. If Henry gets in any more trouble, he probably won't be able to play in the NFL for a while. It's a very good possibility that Roger Goodell's office will be calling soon, just to have a little chat with Henry. Henry would be a solid fantasy play if he could keep himself out of trouble.

Cobwebs clearing for Kenny

Kenny Watson's concussion, suffered during the Bengals' week eight loss to the Steelers, "subsided today," head coach Marvin Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer Monday. Lewis added that Watson was undergoing normal procedures. Watson's matchup with the Bills this weekend is far more favorable than last weekend's date with the Steelers, and we've seen no indication of Rudi Johnson returning to the lineup any time soon.

Ocho Cinco returns to practice, is probable

As expected, Chad Johnson returned to practice Friday after skipping Thursday's session to rest a sore ankle. He's listed as probable for Sunday's game and will start, barring a setback.

Rudi doubtful, but a game-time call

The Bengals practiced again Friday without having Rudi Johnson in the mix. He's listed as doubtful for Sunday's game due to his hamstring injury, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. Although coach Marvin Lewis said that Johnson would be a game-time decision, it will be tough to use him as a fantasy option. Last week, he mustered just eight yards on four carries. Look for Kenny Watson to handle the bulk of the workload again in Week 7.

Rudi set to return but will split carries

Rudi Johnson was able to practice on Friday. After the session, coach Marvin Lewis said that Johnson is healthy, but both Johnson and Kenny Watson will get carries on Sunday, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. So the good news is that Johnson is ready to return from his hamstring injury. But the bad news is the tandem work with Watson could limit Johnson's fantasy value, depending on exactly how many carries Watson takes.

Rudi sits again

Rudi Johnson missed a second consecutive day of practice, sitting out Thursday's session due to the hamstring injury he suffered in week three. The Bengals official web site indicated that it appears as if Kenny Watson will make his second straight start in place of Johnson. Johnson missed the Bengals' loss to New England in week four, but it was assumed the bye week would give him enough time to recover. Now, Rudi owners need to have Watson on stand-by.

Perry ruled out

Wide receiver Tab Perry, who hasn't played since suffering a hamstring injury in week two, has been ruled out of Sunday's game with the Chiefs with a hip injury. Perry missed 14 games last season with a hip injury, though the Cincinnati Enquirer said it is not known if the injuries are related. Perry was a candidate to fill Chris Henry's role as the Bengals' third receiver, but he's been too banged up to do much of anything. Meanwhile, Chad Johnson and T.J. Houshmandzadeh have more than picked up the slack and Henry's return could be just around the corner.

Marshall out for year

Lemar Marshall ruptured his Achilles' tendon on the second snap of Monday's game and is out for the year, the Bengals official site reports. Cincinnati already had injury and depth problems at linebacker entering the night, and it only got worse here. The problems for the Bengals - on both sides of the ball - aren't going to get fixed easily.

Houshmandzadeh gets his numbers

T.J. Houshmandzadeh was Cincinnati's featured wideout Monday night, catching 10 passes for 100 yards and a touchdown, compared to 11 receptions for the rest of the roster combined. Houshmandzadeh appeared to be gimpy at the tail end of the game, but the club didn't immediately address it so this likely isn't anything to be concerned about.

Johnson quiet, sprains ankle

Chad Johnson had just three catches for 53 yards in Monday's loss to New England, and he also sprained his left ankle late in the game, according to the Bengals offical site. The team didn't immediately seem concerned about Johnson going forward, but we'll see what we learn in the next few days.

Rudi's status up in the air

Rudi Johnson (hamstring) appears to be very questionable for Monday's game with New England, according to the Cincinnati Enquirer. There was no official injury report from the Bengals Tuesday, but during a news conference Marvin Lewis said, "the guys who were banged up in the Seattle game who we're unsure about would be Caleb Miller and Rudi Johnson." For insurance, the club signed DeDe Dorsey earlier in the week. The Monday start is a good and bad thing for Johnson owners - on one hand he gets an extra rehab day to work with, but it also means we probably won't be sure of Johnson's status on Sunday, when most fantasy players need to make a final roster call. We'll continue to monitor this situation as closely as possible.

Rudi's hamstring is okay

Rudi Johnson, who missed the fourth quarter of the Bengals' week three loss to the Seahawks with a hamstring injury, told the team's official web site he'll be ready for this week's Monday night clash against the Patriots. Kenny Watson received carries in his absence and may be used more frequently to spell Rudi, but right now it looks as if Rudi's injury is nothing serious.

Henry at it again

It had been a while since Chris Henry encountered law enforcement officers, but an incident now has the Bengals wideout reacquainted with police. WLWT in Kentucky reports a stolen car was recovered from Henry's home on Wednesday night. Chris claims his vehicle had been stolen in Louisiana, so he rented one from Hertz. Henry said he thought his insurance company was picking up the cost of the rental, so he didn't make any payments for it. Hertz says they didn't receive money from either Henry or the insurance company, so they reported the car stolen. Henry, who is serving an eight-game suspension after being arrested four times in 14 months, may not face any charges for this incident, but his pristine public image may now be tarnished forever.

Housh rest

Bengals wideout T.J. Houshmandzadeh rested during Wednesday's practice because of his sore knee. Housh always gets Wednesdays off, so don't let this alarm you.

Frazier out; Jones in?

The Bengals waived linebacker Andre Frazier Tuesday, perhaps clearing the way for the signing of former Giant and Eagle Dhani Jones. Jones visited with Bengals officials on Tuesday, while the team worked out other linebackers including Terna Nande and Kevis Coley. Cincy allowed 51 points to the Browns last week, so you knew they'd have to tweak their defense, right?

Perry iffy

Wide receiver Tab Perry, who left the Bengals' loss to the Browns on Sunday because of a hamstring injury, "doesn't look to be available this week," head coach Marvin Lewis told the Cincinnati Enquirer. Glenn Holt, who caught five passes for 52 yards and a touchdown filling in for Perry, will again handle those duties. And lest ye forget, this is the third receiver role that Chris Henry turned into 605 yards and nine touchdowns last season.

Graham will play

Bengals kicker Shayne Graham is active and will kick on Sunday despite his hip injury. If Graham is your only kicker, you can start him. However, if you have any decent secondary option it might not be a bad idea to go another route.
