Giants running back Derrick Ward sprained his left ankle during Sunday's win over the Redskins. He stayed in the game, but he had some soreness on Monday, he tells the team's official web site. We don't believe the injury to be serious, but we'll be monitoring his status throughout the week. Ward will likely start in place of Brandon Jacobs again in Week 4.
