Leinart remaining the starter

The Cardinals will continue to use Matt Leinart as their starting quarterback. Ken Whisenhunt made the announcement during his Monday press conference, according to the Arizona Republic, one day after Kurt Warner replaced Leinart during part of the second half Sunday and finished with 258 yards. "It wasn't a situation where Matt didn't play well," Whisenhunt told the press. "Matt has worked hard and done what we asked him to do. He's improving as a quarterback, so he is our starter, like we said yesterday after the game." Whisenhunt brought up the fact Leinart suffered some dropped passes and the Ravens played a more conservative defense in the fourth quarter when explaining why he decided to stick with Matt. But as long as Warner remains a threat to come in during the game, Leinart's fantasy value will take a serious hit.
