Dayne struggles at stripe

Running back Ron Dayne appears to be the Texans' goal line back, despite a poor track record in the role that includes his latest failure: three unsuccessful shots from inside the four-yard line in Houston's preseason opener against the Bears. "Ah man, I think I should have got it," Dayne told the Houston Chronicle. "But there were so many black jerseys." Maybe the Texans can petition the league to have defenses use fewer players whenever Houston gets close to the goal line? That's about the only way I see Dayne improving on his current career average of one touchdown every 38 times he touches the football.
