Brady walks wounded

Tight end Kyle Brady, who's been out since the second day of training camp with an undisclosed injury, participated in the Patriots walkthrough on Sunday. "I'm a player that throughout by career has been used to participating," Brady told the Boston Globe. "Even practices, I'm not used to missing… Mentally, you never feel like you're hurt. You always feel like you're ready to be in there. You just have to be patient, be smart." With Brady out, Ben Watson missing since last Monday, and David Thomas on the PUP list, the Patriots are wafer thin at tight end. Brady doesn't figure to have much fantasy value as a blocking tight end, but if Watson and/or Thomas are out long-term, he'd be a decent stop-gap option as a pass-catcher.
