It appears as though Michael Koenen will stick to punting despite his attempt to kick field goals in 2006. "I like what Michael Koenen is doing," head coach Bobby Petrino told the Atlanta Journal-Constitution. "He's punted as well as he has since I've been here." Billy Cundiff and Aaron Elling are slated to compete for the kicking job. Koenen bombed as a kicker early last season. He has a powerful leg and might attempt some long field goals this season, but it appears as though Cundiff or Elling will handle the bulk of the three-point tries.
