Running back Verron Haynes re-signed with the Steelers Monday, according to the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Haynes, who was released by the club in March, missed the final two months of last season with a knee injury but has been rehabbing at the Steelers' practice facility.
Haynes will compete with Kevan Barlow and Najeh Davenport for touches, likely in a third-down capacity. This, of course, assumes he's all the way back from knee surgery.
