49ers quarterback Alex Smith threw the ball around during Wednesday's practice and head coach Mike Nolan continues to be cautiously optimistic that he'll be able to return after the team's bye this week. "I would say he's questionable," Nolan told the Sacramento Bee. "Because 'hopeful' is not one of the choices." Smith isn't a fantasy option unless you're in a ridiculously large league, but his return may help open things up a bit for Frank Gore and allow Darrell Jackson to remember how a football feels.
