Parker still 3-4 weeks away

The Chargers continue to be without the services of wide receiver Eric Parker, and head coach Norv Turner says he is still three or four weeks away from returning. "It's a matter of him being able to run full speed straight-ahead, then run routes and then go back into practice," Turner tells the North County Times. Parker underwent surgery on August 3 to repair a cracked sesamoid bone near his right big toe. Vincent Jackson will continue to be the top wide receiver option while Parker is out, and Malcom Floyd and Craig Davis will work in as the No. 2 and No. 3 guys. We were hoping for Parker to return sooner, as his steady presence seems to help Philip Rivers.
