Ellis reworks deal

Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis made his season debut on Sunday, and the timing makes more sense after what we learned later in the day. Agent Butch Williams was in Dallas over the weekend, and the Cowboys reportedly worked out a restructured contract for Ellis, according to the Fort Worth Star-Telegram. The veteran's contract still runs through 2009, but a portion of his base salary has been converted into bonuses. Ellis has been complaining about his contract for many months. Heck, he's been whining for over a year. Ellis isn't fully over the torn left Achilles he suffered last November, and he is not a good IDP guy right now.
