Delhomme might need elbow surgery

Could Jake Delhomme require surgery to repair the damage in his strained elbow? Coach John Fox admitted Sunday that is a possibility and that surgery would "thwart the majority" of the quarterback's season, according to the Charlotte Observer. "There's an option that he could have surgery," Fox added. "I can't tell him what he's going to have. It's his arm and his body, but that is a possibility." It sounds like surgery is likely at some point but that he will try to rehab it in an attempt to save his season and delay surgery until after the season. We'll have to wait for more information, though, before we know exactly what is happening with Delhomme. David Carr will start until Delhomme is ready to play.
