Panthers quarterback David Carr missed his second straight practice Thursday because of a sore back, according to the Associated Press. Coach John Fox was unsure if Carr could practice on Friday. "I was hopeful he would today, but he did not,' Fox said. "We'll see what happens.' Fox didn't say if it would be undrafted rookie Matt Moore and the geriatric Vinny Testaverde under center Sunday if Carr can't go, but fantasy owners want nothing to do with either of them. Sadly, losing Carr would be a big blow to the value of Steve Smith.
