Tynes misses practice

Giants kicker Lawrence Tynes did not practice on Wednesday due to a strained calf. "In theory, he can kick the next day," head coach Tom Coughlin tells the team's official web site. "We'll have to see how that goes. He's sore." If Tynes were unable to go, the Giants would probably place a quick call to Josh Huston, who nearly won the job in training camp. We'll update Tynes' status as the practice week rolls on.
