It appears that Kevin Jones will not miss the first six weeks of the season while on the PUP list. The Lions are expected to remove him from the physically unable to perform list and keep him on their active roster when the season begins, according to the Detroit Free Press.
The Lions believe he has progressed enough from his Lisfranc injury to practice soon, something he wouldn't be allowed to do while on the PUP list. Now, he can try to work his way back into game shape. You can't count on Jones playing or being at full strength this season, but at this moment things seem about as positive as can be, considering the severity of the injury.
