Preliminary reports indicate that Deuce McAllister tore the ACL in his left knee and will likely miss the remainder of the season, according to ESPN.com. He is scheduled to undergo an MRI exam on Tuesday to verify the diagnosis. McAllister suffered the injury during Monday's loss to the Titans. He tore his right ACL back in 2005. It can't get much worse for the Saints, who are 0-3 and appear to be without McAllister for the remainder of the season. Reggie Bush will become the primary back, although the Saints mixed in Aaron Stecker when McAllister rested last season. Bush's value increases due to the extra playing time he should receive. However, he's struggled to get anything going on the ground this season. Just to be on the safe side, we caution against cutting McAllister until the severity of his injury is confirmed.
