Mahe to the rescue?

The Eagles have placed a call to running back Reno Mahe and could sign him as soon as Tuesday. "All they said was we're flying you out here and we'll see you soon. I'm just excited to come back," he tells the Philadelphia Inquirer. Mahe was with the team from 2003-06, serving as a backup running back and return man. The Eagles punt returners cost the team a game in week one, and if he's signed, Mahe's main job will be to field kicks cleanly and hang onto the ball. He would have no fantasy value.
