Lovie Smith was disappointed by the lack of touches Devin Hester received during Sunday's loss to the Chargers. "We need to get the ball in Devin's hands more," Smith told Tuesday's Chicago Sun-Times. "I definitely will acknowledge that… He's one of our playmakers that we need to get involved more." Hester touched the ball once in Week 1. Teams will do their best to keep the ball away from Hester on returns, so the Bears might counter by trying to get him more involved in the offense as a wide receiver.
