The stories continue to swirl about the state of Eli Manning's sprained right shoulder. A source close to the Giants quarterback previously stuck to the "day-to-day" outlook but changed his story on Wednesday. "I'm hearing conflicting things. I don't know what to believe anymore," the source tells the New York Daily News. A different source reveals that team physician Dr. Russell Warren initially told Manning that he has a second-degree sprain, which means some ligaments are torn and that he'd likely miss three-to-four weeks. The Giants deny that was ever the case. No matter what the actual case, Manning can play as soon as he can tolerate the pain. We're considering him questionable for week 2, but the Giants seem confident that he'll miss no more than one game.
