Cowboys linebacker Greg Ellis is active and will play on Sunday against the Rams. He has been out since the first day of training camp due to left heel bursitis, a condition related to the torn Achilles he suffered last November. Ellis will likely be limited in his role, but the Cowboys will just be happy to get him back. He'll help upgrade that defense as the season continues. Ellis doesn't have any IDP value.
