Keary Colbert appears to have a good chance of starting opposite Steve Smith in Week 1, according to the Charlotte Observer. At this point, it looks like he has the inside track over Drew Carter and rookie Dwayne Jarrett. Colbert averaged 16 yards per catch as a rookie, but injuries and poor play stalled his career out over the past two seasons. If he can get back to his rookie form, he could surprise.
