Chiefs quarterback Damon Huard practiced on Monday, the Kansas City Star reports. He had been very limited over the past two weeks due to a sore right calf. Huard is one of many key pieces in this offense who have missed time. The Chiefs are practically trying to pack a preseason into one week in preparation for the season opener. Good luck with that.
Also Chiefs left tackle Damion McIntosh practiced on Monday and will likely play in the season opener. "I wanted to test it out moving side to side," he tells the Kansas City Star. "There was a little contact on it and it was fine. It's just another step of progress. I'll do a little more (on Wednesday)." McIntosh underwent surgery on August 9 to repair a sprained right knee. Even 80 percent of McIntosh is probably better than what the Chiefs had at left tackle in 2006.
