Burress visiting ankle specialist

Giants wide receiver Plaxico Burress is in Charlotte on Wednesday to visit Dr. Robert Anderson, a foot and ankle specialist. Burress has had issues with a sprained right ankle since August 2. "He really didn't practice a whole lot last week," head coach Tom Coughlin tells the team's official web site. "And then, of course, when he plays, it gets sore again, and it has been a kind of a continuous nagging thing. So he is going to have it evaluated by Dr. Anderson. Hopefully (we will get) some further recommendation as to what can be done to relieve the issue." Burress had another big day in Week 3 despite barely practicing, but that's not an ideal scenario for Plax and the Giants. We'll update his status when more is known. We expect Plax to play in Week 4, but his ankle could be an issue all year.
