The Broncos waived veteran tight end Stephen Alexander on Saturday and signed converted tackle Chad Mustard for the second time this month, the AP reports. Alexander had been hampered by a calf injury during training camp and had been listed as questionable for Sunday's game against Oakland. Jay Cutler won't miss Alexander for a second, with a stable of good receivers (and tight ends) to work with.
