Antoine Winfield has completed the final part of mandatory OTAs and has no plans to join the Vikings until training camp, according to the Minneapolis Star-Tribune. "I'm pretty much going to do this thing on my own," he added. "I don't feel like I really need to be around. I pretty much know the defense. I know what I need to work on when I'm away from here."
While he hasn't explicitly stated why he plans to stay away, he hinted that it's related to the Vikings' prospects for a quick turnaround following last year's 6-10 run.
