Bills: Walker talks break down

Talks between defensive tackle Darwin Walker and the Bills have reportedly reached an impasse, and Walker could be headed back to the Eagles in August.
According to the Rochester Democrat & Chronicle, Walker's agent has rejected a one-year, $1.3 million offer from the Bills, which is what Walker is scheduled to make this year under his existing two-year contract. "It doesn't make any sense," agent Albert Irby said. "At $1.3 million, Darwin would be the lowest-paid five-year starter in the league."
This transaction doesn't make any sense. The Bills acquired Walker as part of the deal that sent Takeo Spikes to the Eagles earlier this offseason, then included a clause to receive a sixth-round draft pick if they couldn't reach a contract agreement with Walker.
Walker would seem to be a good fit for a club that is desperately seeking experience and play-making ability on the defensive side of the ball, but the Bills are evidently not willing to up the ante to keep him in the fold.
